Inhaling canisters found in Wanstead library carpark

Please review the following update regarding Anti Social Behaviour which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

 

It has been observed that a group of individuals has been using the car park located at the rear of the library for the purpose of inhaling canisters of gas and subsequently disposing of them in the car park. This has resulted in the presence of boxes containing gas canisters that were left in the car park on Thursday evening. It is also known that these individuals have been known to use this car park on multiple occasions throughout the week, with their activity typically occurring between the hours of 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., and at other times during the night, including 2a.m.
The matter has been reported
